Come and join us with your mending pile and get creative with your darning. Spend a few hours with George and Bee as they introduce the practice of swiss darning and how to creatively repair and revive your damaged or old clothing...
And because it’s repair week, They will give you a free gift mini darning kit so you’ll have everything you need to continue at home!
This workshop focuses on Swiss darning, a technique used to mend holes in knitted or stretch
textiles by recreating the fabric’s original loop structure with yarn.
This method produces a stretchy, seamless repair - perfect for knitted garments such as
jumpers, scarves, and socks etc.
