Curious about how a small handmade fashion brand really works? Want to learn by doing?

We’re Edy and Bridge an independent sustainable clothing brand based right in the heart of Nunhead, South East London. Our studio is also our shop, and it’s where everything is designed, sewn, stitched, and brought to life. It’s a creative, collaborative space filled with fabric scraps, cups of tea, and big ideas about conscious fashion.

We’re offering a work experience opportunity for someone who’s excited about sustainable fashion and wants to get stuck into life at a small, independent studio.

Just a heads up: This is an unpaid position aimed at those looking to gain hands-on experience in the world of sustainable fashion. It’s perfect if you’re looking to build your skills, grow your confidence, or explore what it’s like working in a small, values-led brand.

We usually find that a two- to three-week placement works well, or a few days a week over the course of a month, we’re happy to chat and find something that suits both of us.
Please note: this opportunity is open to those aged 18 and over.

Sound like you? Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Someone with a positive attitude and good communication skills

• Basic sewing machine know-how (experience with industrial machines is a bonus, but not a dealbreaker!)

• A team player who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves

• Reliable, hardworking, and creatively minded

What you’ll be getting involved with:

• Restitching and repurposing fabric offcuts into something beautiful

• Helping with light sewing, cutting, and production tasks

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the studio

• Creating accessories and small items from leftover materials

• Getting a real behind-the-scenes look at how a sustainable brand operates

This is a great chance to work alongside a passionate, small team and contribute to a brand that really cares about sustainability, creativity, and community.
